This instrument was made especially for jazz guitar legend Pat Martino. Like many of Abe's guitars, it features exotic woods and MOP inlays. It is a heavy guitar with bird's eye maple and hand-carved reliefs on both upper and lower bouts. The pick-up rings, control knobs are also hand-carved from exotic woods. The pick-guard is no different except that it is also features Pat's graceful signature as does the leather gig bag. The bindings are of intricate Mother of Pearl. You can't help but appreciate its beauty. Pat used this as his primary instrument from 1987 and throughout the 90's. It is featured on the "Return" CD and also on Pat's "Creative Force" REH publications.
